The secondary application fee of $60 will be refunded for interviewed applicants.

For full consideration, please complete your MD/PhD application by October 1st. All interview slots are typically filled by mid October.

- MSTP admissions committee meets to determine who to take to the CCOM
- CCOM admissions committee meets to determine admissibility
- Offers are made late in the fall semester and throughout the spring, with additional offers extended if declines are received
- Repeat for each additional interview

- 4:00–5:00pm: Welcome and overview from MSTP director, and breakoutrooms with faculty and current students
- 5:00–6:00pm: Student panel with current Iowa MSPT trainees
- Day 2
- 8:30–9:00am: Check-in and overview of interview day
- 9:00am–12:00pm: Interviews with MSTP faculty (typically 4)
- 12:00–1:00pm: Break
- 1:00–4:00pm: Virtual Carver College of Medicine interview
- 4:00–4:30pm: Wrap-up

| April 30, 2025 | AMCAS "Commit to Enroll" opens on AMCAS. This is the last day an admitted student may hold multiple acceptances. Admitted students must choose one school to "Plan to Enroll" on AMCAS. Admitted students must decline all other admissions offers, but may remain on alternate lists at other schools. If you designate another school at which you "Plan to Enroll," we request you withdraw your seat from our class. If you need additional time to decide, contact our office immediately. |
